Qualifications we seek in you:
- Bachelors or master’s in computer science or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and object-orientated design capabilities
- Strong debugging skills
- The candidate should have a strong foundation in data engineering concepts, cloud technologies, SQL, and Python
- Dedicated to unit testing and automated testing of developed functionality
- Ability to work on building scalable data pipelines, processing large datasets, and supporting cloud-based analytics solutions using technologies such as BigQuery, AWS, Apache Kafka, and Spark.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain good working relationships
- Innovative, resourceful, passionate about creating high-quality, high performance and highly available software
- Able to mentor junior engineers through pairing and coaching
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, agile work environment and deliver value incrementally and frequently
Job Duties (Summary):
- Support CI/CD deployment and automation for data engineering workloads.
- Develop Python-based data processing applications.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data.
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipeline reliability.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are maintained.
- Develop data ingestion pipelines using Apache Kafka and other streaming technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines.
- Develop solutions using AWS services such as AWS Glue.
- Work with Google BigQuery for data warehousing, querying, and performance optimization.
