- Educational qualification is Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Good understanding of software development principles and practices
- Familiarity with at least scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash)
- Good knowledge and experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and networking concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exposure to Google Cloud platform
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies and tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Any additional experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) would be a plus
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
DevOps Engineer - Job Duties (Summary):
- Monitor and analyse system logs, metrics, and performance indicators to proactively identify issues and optimize system performance
- Help automate manual processes and optimize existing automation workflows to improve efficiency and productivity
- Participate in building and maintaining automated deployment and monitoring systems for various software applications
- Support the development team in resolving issues related to build, deployment, and environment configurations
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Assist in managing and configuring infrastructure on Google Cloud platform to ensure scalability, availability, and security
- Contribute to the creation and management of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
