Qualifications we seek in you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in software development or backend services.
- Academic or project experience using Java or Python (at least one; both preferred)
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Internship or project experience in backend development will be a plus
- Understanding of:
- Java Spring Boot or Python Flask
- REST APIs and microservices fundamentals
- SQL and relational databases
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP will be a plus
Job Duties (Summary):
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features.
- Follow best engineering practices and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and gain experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrate a learning mindset, ownership, and a “can-do” attitude.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting backend issues.
- Contribute to the design and development of backend services using Java and/or Python.
- Work with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins as part of the development workflow.
- Build APIs and microservices using frameworks like Spring Boot (Java) or Flask (Python).
